Which one are you most drawn to?

Recently, I found a really great blog and decided to leave a comment. However, when I submitted my response to the post my picture did not display.

Unfortunately, I did not know what to do to remedy this problem. So I did a little research and found the answer.

 It’s actually really simple—all you need is a Gravatar.

A Gravatar is an image that follows you from site to site appearing beside your name when you do things like comment or post on a blog and it’s critical when establishing a personal brand.

When you upload an image to Gravatar, you have to associate an Email ID with it.

So, whenever you post a comment on any site with the same Email ID, it will fetch your picture from Gravatar and display it.

Why Is Your Gravatar Important?

1. Enables readers to see who you are. It allows them to relate to you.

2. It portrays professionalism.

3. It draws people to read your comments.

4. It can arouse curiosity and lead readers to click on your profile and visit your website.

Again, it’s really easy, and necessary when trying to establish online relationships. So don’t wait—go to www.gravatar.com and get started!

What makes you, “You-nique?” Are you aware of your strengths and weaknesses? What area of work do you thrive in? What is your area of expertise? What do your friends and family say that you are good at?

One of the first things you will hear any personal branding coach say is “Know Yourself!” So let me ask you, Do you know yourself?

Do You Know Yourself?

Everyone should be an expert on knowing themselves. This generally requires intentionality and serious study of your own skill sets.

“The more you learn about yourself—how you think, how you feel, what your true purpose is and how you want to live—the more your life will flow.

Instead of just working hard every week, you will begin to make better choices based on intuition and instinctively knowing the right thing to do.” The Power of Focus, p. 6

Once you know what it is that you are bringing to the table you can brand yourself as the expert in your specialized niche.

For example, do you have “ an eye for organizations, an ear for fine music, a heart that beats for justice and fairness, a mind that understands quantum physics, the tender fingers of a caregiver, or the strong legs of a runner.” Cure For The Common Life, p.18

The point is to do what you love and what you were created to do! And if your goal is to help people along the way, you will be a success!!

We Don't Need Anymore Copy Cats!

The world does not need anymore copy cats!  In order to set yourself a part from other people you have to realize how special you are! You have to be yourself!

“Of the six billion people currently living and the more than ninety billion people who have ever lived, there has never, unless you are an identical twin, been anyone quite like you.

Your creative gifts, your fingerprints, your expressions, your DNA, your dreams, are unprecedented and unique” (How to Think like Leonardo da Vinci p.5)

In my early twenties I really struggled to see my uniqueness and I lived by comparing myself and trying to imitate other people.

Let me just say, it was utterly exhausting!! I was living under the expectations and desires of  others. True freedom came when I didn’t care anymore—I just wanted to be me!

Have you ever felt like this? If so, I want you to encourage you to STOP! We Need You!! You are so unique— a one of a kind—and if you don’t represent and live life the way you were designed—we all miss out on the gifts you bring to the world.

So please—-avoid the copy cat life. Trust me it only leads to burn out and frustration!  The world needs to see your fingerprint!!!
