Hello Ayanna…I very much like your blog and your posts. I thought I would comment on this one because I believe it to be so important for the future of our families, children and society at large.

Our children very much want our time…but not only that…they want us! They want our entire beings. It doesn’t mean that we live child-centered lives but it does mean they know deep inside their souls that we are for them…they are not an afterthought they are at the very core of who we are.

This attitude not only changes our children…it changes us.

You are right on, Ayanna! There will never be enough time to do everything. At the core, we have to decide what is most important. We decide what is most important based on our values. I applaud you for making your family a priority. Your children will have a valuable treasure to pass on to their children.

Thanks Bruce! I agree with you! As parents we work so hard to provide our children with the best opportunites and yet we often forget to give them our quality time. Just time being together. Family dinners, game nights, etc….it’s time to bring some of those things back into our homes!

Thank you Ingrid! Before making a commitment I always ask myself, “If I say yes to this, then what am I saying no to?” So many people ask me—how do you do it all? And I reply “I don’t!” There’s just not enough time in the day!
