Membership for Twitter is free, so all you have to do to get started is sign up for an account at www.twitter.com.

 

But before you sign up, you need to be aware that your “username isn’t just a phrase you’re going to enter when you sign in.

 

It will form part of your URL and will be visible whenever you promote your Twitter Page.

 

 

 It’s like choosing a domain name for a Web site. Choose poorly, and you could affect your Twitter account’s ability to gather followers and build a reputation.

My advice is to make it relevant to what you are doing, keep it simple, easy to remember and you should be fine!
